I created runningforseven to honor my mom's legacy and use running and storytelling to uplift others, share meaningful causes, and give back. Rescue is a huge part of what I do. I regularly foster dogs and share their journeys, along with our own rescue pups — the realities, joys, and challenges of helping dogs find their forever homes. Co-founder of Rescue Dog Wines. I got here because of a boxer named Daisy — a rescue who introduced herself to Laura at a shelter in 2007, then came as a package deal when I met Laura the next year. She spent fifteen years teaching us what a rescue is worth, and when we started making wine, giving half the profits to rescue was never a decision — it was the reason. Daisy's gone now; the mission she started isn't. These days our house is run by five rescue cats, which we take as proof the rescue habit doesn't care what species you promised it to.
