We hope everyone is having a fantastic end of summer and are looking forward to cooler weather going into the fall. As we shift into the Fall and approach Rescue Dog Month in Octover, which we know is prime fundraising season for all of our animal rescue partners, we’ve come up with a few ideas for 501 c rescue organizations to partner with us and maximize your fundraising efforts utilizing donated wines from Rescue Dog Wines. Remember that our mission is to support the placement of as many rescue dogs as possible into loving homes. (Even though we’re currently focused on our home state of California for larger event wine donations, but we hope to expand into many other states as our distribution expands.
Also, we can now make smaller wine donations to organizations through most states now) Anyway, here are some ideas for your organization to maximize a partnership with us: Imagine combining the sophisticated allure of a wine tasting with the heartfelt mission of animal rescue. This is exactly what Rescue Dog Wines offers to our rescue dog charity partners—supporting fundraising efforts by pairing the joy of wine with the purpose of supporting rescue dogs. Planning a wine tasting event can significantly boost awareness and funding for your rescue organization. Here are some tips on how to plan and execute your event:
Step 1: Planning the Event
Setting a Date and Venue: The first step is to select a fitting venue for your event. Whether it’s your organization’s lobby, a local community center, or an event hall, the location should accommodate your anticipated attendees comfortably.
Fundraising Goals: Establish clear financial targets and pinpoint the specific needs your event will address—be it medical care for the dogs, facility improvements, or general operational costs.
Choosing a Format: Decide whether your event will be in-person, virtual, or a hybrid of both. Each format offers different benefits and requires distinct preparations.
Step 2: Partnering with Businesses

Step 3: Promoting the Fundraiser

Creating Buzz: Share stories of the rescue dogs who will benefit from the fundraiser to draw interest and empathy.
Ticket Sales: Advance tickets could be priced between $80 to $120 per person, reflecting the quality and exclusivity of the event.
Step 4: Organizing the Tasting Experience
Wine Selection: Collaborate with Rescue Dog Wines to select the perfect varieties for your crowd. We can assist with varietal selection and determining the right amounts.
Wine Pairings: Curate a menu of foods that complement the selected wines, enhancing the overall tasting experience.
Step 5: Enhancing the Event with Activities
Silent Auction/Raffle: Include appealing items like wine baskets, dog-themed merchandise, or vouchers for services.
Interactive Elements: Engage attendees further with activities such as a “meet and greet” with adoptable dogs or a fun photo booth setup.
Other activities: Live acoustic music or an engaging speaker can add an additional element to your event.
Step 6: Hosting the Event
